![]() ![]() Family is a cornerstone of Atkinson’s writings and what better way to test that bond than when faced with certain death. These unsolved and likely undetected traumas begin to resurface as soon as they begin reliving some of those traumas. Most of the troubled characters in the novel are naturally born in dysfunctional homes that exposed them to things that their undeveloped minds couldn’t grasp at the time. Through a lot of lies and deception, they bend reality to their will, censoring what they disagree with and graciously letting in what they subscribe to. ![]() A lot of the characters are willingly choosing to live in a fantasy rather than face their existential reality. These characters are desperately searching for a higher meaning in their life that forces them to do unorthodox things like striking odd relationships that are doomed to fail because of the illusion that those bonds will provide that highly coveted meaning. ![]() When Will There Be Good News is a novel written unintentionally for the world’s outsiders, as a lot of the characters lead fully introverted lives. ![]() Written by people who wish to remain anonymous We are thankful for their contributions and encourage you to make your own. When the song is over and the game proclaims “You rock!”, Trevor throws both arms into the air. He just rolls with it, pretending he meant to do star power. He has so much style that he accidentally pops off star power before he means to. Sometimes he even looks away from the screen. He steps forward and back, prancing a little. He once asked if he could sit down to play. He stands impassively, staring intently at the scrolling dots. He doesn’t play the songs he doesn’t know. He dominates the high score board on any song he knows. He then uses it during the easy parts with lots of notes. He builds up star power and then waits until he gets a x4 multiplier. He is totally engrossed, like a child watching an animatronic monkey. His jaw goes slack and his eyes light up as he watches the fret scrolling.
